Ayrshire & Wigtownshire Campaigns

At the 2020 AGM, four campaigning targets were agreed.  They are as follows:

Encourage members to visit pubs and score beers.

Use the data to inform us of the pub’s eligibility for Good Beer Guide entry and assist in improving beer quality.

Promote afternoon social events.

This is a strategy to help reduce loneliness and encourage older members to socialise, while at the same time supporting real ale pubs. (This is in abeyance until restrictions are lifted)

Increase local membership

With the loss of this year’s festival, we must consider alternative strategies to maintain and increase our level of membership.

Encourage members to use their local clubs

Members are asked to visit their local clubs even if they don’t currently sell real ale.  By visiting regularly and letting it be known that you prefer real ale, clubs may introduce it.
