Ayrshire Real Ale Festival (ARAF)

The 23rd Ayrshire Real Ale Festival takes place from Thursday, 3 October to Saturday, 5 October 2024, at Troon Concert Hall and Walker Hall. Planning meeting number 5 is on Monday, 19 August, at 20:00 in the Wheatsheaf Inn, Kilmarnock. All members are invited to attend.

Volunteers Required

Our Festival cannot function without volunteers. All CAMRA members are invited to complete and submit a volunteer form. We would be very grateful if you could spare a few hours.

  • Set-up is Tuesday, 1 October, and Wednesday, 2 October.
  • The Festival is open from Thursday, 3 October, to Saturday, 5 October.
  • Take-down is Sunday, 6 October, with a few volunteers needed on Monday, 7 October.
  • Completed forms should be forwarded to arafvolunteers@gmail.com or by snail mail to 130 Chirnside Road, Glasgow, G52 2LH.
  • The deadline for the submission of the form is Saturday, 7 September. We will, of course, accept applications after this date, but we cannot guarantee that we will have a polo shirt for you.
  • If you require a taxi home, please note the stipulations: “We may be able to provide transport home (subject to logistics) for staff who contract to work for 5 hours in any one day, 3 of which must include 21:00 (20:00 Sat) to CLOSE.”
